You already have the ideas about your future web project? And first of all you should draw the model of your site. Like in any other field of art, model design is quite a broad concept.

Some of the web-studios spend a lot of time and money to create magnificent detailed site models, but unfortunately, such method remind more posters than a future structure of your project.

But on the other hand I know several people who can immediately draw sudden comes idea of the future site just on the sheet of paper or napkins. Nevertheless you should pay more attention to the model design, because it is the basic start of the project. The model has to look like a scheme, map and even legend of your web page.

And don’t worry in any case, for developing the model of the site you may be just a person with a good imagination and not a professional artist. The main purpose of the model is to show the principal ideas to you and to others. Simple rectangle with title like “logo will be here” gives the best fit for these purposes. It is not necessary to insert the logo on each page model site, just give a simple description of its presence. No need to draw into the model all existing text, horizontal lines will be the best decision in this case.

Before starting the work at model site, remember some notes: the width of the browser window more than its height, therefore, when using standard sheets of A4, place it horizontally. At the very beginning use only pencils. During your work you will surely add or remove some elements. A good tool in the work can be printed screenshot of empty page in a browser. Print several such sheets or make multiple copies from one printed. The advantage of using these prints is that you get the right size and format for the models.
